A Warm Welcome from Genevieve & The Strategic Heart Enterprises

Thank You for Planting With Us

You've just taken the first step into the Food Forest Commons — a living neighborhood apprenticeship in stewardship, belonging, and community wealth building.

Like a seed settling into good soil, your name is now rooted in this growing commons. What happens next unfolds gently, seasonally, and in relationship — the way healthy ecosystems always do.

Meet the Commons

When you're ready, you'll be invited to a live intro session — a chance to meet neighbors, hear the vision, and discover how your gifts might weave into our shared field.

A Note on the Pattern

You Are Now Part of a Living Field

The Food Forest Commons follows a syntropic pattern — the same way a healthy forest grows. It begins with roots (shared purpose), sends up an understory (volunteers and neighbors), grows a midstory (youth learning and workshops), and eventually forms a canopy (shared assets and lasting local culture).

You've joined at the root layer. That matters. The commons grows because neighbors like you say yes to being part of something alive — something you help shape, not something you merely consume. There's no hierarchy to climb here, only relationships to tend.

Neighbors tending a food forest

While You Wait

A Few Gentle Invitations

  • 🌿 Walk your neighborhood and notice the edges — sidewalks, yards, schoolyards, church lawns. Where might food and beauty grow?
  • 🌿 Mention the Food Forest Commons to one neighbor, teacher, or community leader who might be curious.
  • 🌿 Reflect on what gifts you'd like to bring — hands, skills, stories, land access, hospitality, or simply steady presence.
  • 🌿 Rest in knowing that this work is incremental, participatory, and place-based. There's no rush.

In the Meantime
