My Story

The dialogue I had longed for became the work I do.

From a Dutch grocery store to a living framework for deeper connection, courageous leadership, and regenerative dialogue.

At fifteen, I set foot on Dutch soil from the Philippines with my younger siblings in tow. When my Dutch Dad said no to international school and told me I would have to integrate into Dutch society, I was furious.

Then one day at the cheese counter of a local grocery story, a woman behind the counter asked a simple question, “Anders nog iets?” ("Anything else?"). I couldn't understand her and therefore left the store without the cheese I wanted to eat. It was right there and then that I decided to learn the language, not just to survive, but to truly reach and connect with people.

As I was learning, I noticed something else: everyone was talking, but few were really listening. People were speaking past each other, over each other, but rarely with each other. 

And I've seen that pattern over and over again across cultures, countries, and industries.

When I rolled into the finance industry, I had a manager who refused to be called a boss and instead encouraged me to speak up and speak out, grow, and develop personally and professionally. In multicultural teams, I saw how differences could enrich a room — and a life — and how, underneath that differences, there is often a deeper current. That current I would later know as kinship.

Nourishing Dialogues grew from these experiences. It is a body of work grounded in the belief that conflict is not a failure of relationship, but an invitation to learn, evolve, and deepen connection — like the mycelial network beneath a forest floor.

I further grew into this work through a quiet insistence. That the conversations we have shape the lives we build, the families we raise, and the organizations we lead. 

For years, I watched brilliant people exhaust themselves inside extractive communication patterns, mistaking tension for productivity and silence for peace.

So I began studying dialogue as a living system. I did my trainings, researched, facilitated dialogues, listened, practiced, and finally wrote Nourishing Dialogues: Legacy in Your Voice — a framework for the science of conversations that restore lineages, lead teams, and transform culture.

Today, through The Strategic Heart Enterprises, I help leaders, founders, and teams move from extractive communication to regenerative culture — without sacrificing their humanity.

Sacred Milestone

Centre for World Peace and Health, Holy Isle, Scotland

An ancient island off the west coast of Scotland, Holy Isle has carried the spiritual heritage of inner peace and interfaith dialogue since the 6th century. In this living sanctuary founded by Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche, Genevieve encountered a profound meeting place of contemplative practice, wild ecology, and shared human becoming.
Her work at the Centre for World Peace and Health seeded some of the deepest roots of her dialogue practice. In a place where Buddhist, Christian, and interfaith traditions meet the windswept intelligence of a Scottish island, she experienced what it means to hold space at the threshold of inner transformation and outer regeneration.
This is not a line on a résumé. It is a watershed moment — where the philosophy of Nourishing Dialogues met the land, the silence, and the living community of a world devoted to peace.
